Deals and boards
Deal stages, a deal with an amount and an owner, and a Notion-style board with grouping, filters and views.
Deal stages
Settings → Deal stages. A stage set is your sales path: "New lead → Consultation → Invoice → Paid". You can have several sets, such as "Sales", "Wholesale", "Service". A deal lives in one set.
Each stage has a colour and a meaning: In progress, Won or Lost. The stage's meaning sets the deal's state. Bordee has no separate leads: a lead is a deal at the first stage.
The same page has Deal currency: one currency for the whole business.
A deal
Deals → New deal, the Deal action in a chat, or the Deals tab on a contact or company. A deal has a name, amount, stage, contact, company, owner, "Close by" date and the deal custom fields.
Every move between stages goes into the deal's timeline: who, when, from where and to where. Moving a deal to Lost asks for the reason; Back to work reopens it.
The board
Deals open as a board: columns are stages, cards are deals. Drag a card to another column to change its stage. The column header shows the count and the total. A card's Open button shows the deal in a side panel without leaving the board. The Table button switches to a plain list.
Changes made by colleagues appear on the board right away.
Views and settings
A view is a saved way of showing the board. View tabs are at the top, and "+" adds one. Views are shared or personal; shared ones are changed by whoever's role allows setting up shared boards.
- Filter: "is", "is not", "is empty", "is not empty" on any field;
- Sort: by a field or your own order by dragging;
- Mine and search;
- the "⋯" menu: which fields a card shows and in what order, grouping (stage, owner, a choice field), sub-groups, the column summary, card size, coloured columns, text wrapping, how many cards to load.
Columns can be dragged into your own order, and the ones you do not need hidden.
Automation
A funnel triggered by "A deal entered a stage" starts in the contact's latest conversation when a deal reaches the chosen stage: "Paid" can send a thank-you and instructions, for example. With Conversions API set up, a won deal can send Meta a Purchase event with the amount.
