Team and roles

How to invite a person to the team, what an administrator can do and how to set up roles with permissions.

Invite to the team

Settings → Team → Invite: name, email and role. We email an invitation and show you a link that works for 7 days, so you can pass it on yourself. The person sets their own password or signs in with Google. If they already have a Bordee account, the business simply appears in their My businesses.

The team list shows each person's status: Invited (has not accepted yet; Invite again sends a fresh link), Active, Switched off.

The Can sign in switch turns access off without deleting the person: their records, comments and history stay. A disabled staff member's tokens stop working at once.

Administrator

The first choice in the Role field is Administrator — can do everything: the team, roles, access rules, modules, channels, the admin's look, the plan and the business's data. Access rules do not limit an administrator. Keep administrators as few as possible.

Roles

Settings → Roles. A role is a name, a description and a set of permissions; it is chosen on the person's card in Team, which also shows the role's description and a link to its permissions. A staff member with no role sees only the Overview. What exactly a person can do with a particular record is shown by Check access on their card.

Ready-made roles:

  • Manager: all contacts, conversations and tasks, funnels and broadcasts;
  • "Клієнт" (Client): no permissions; sees only what access rules open to them, such as one task list.

Permissions

AreaExample permissions
ContactsSee own and unowned; see all; add and change, merge; manage tags
ConversationsSee own and unassigned and reply; see all; assign to others; manage quick replies
DealsSee own and unowned; see all; add and move between stages; set up stages
TasksSet and see own; see everyone's tasks; manage lists
AutomationFunnels; broadcasts; media library
DataExport what you see; import
SettingsCustom fields; shared boards

A module's permissions appear in roles only while the module is on. "Own and unowned" means records where the person is the owner, and records with no owner.
